reHeal invites the community to;

reHeal was born from the trauma of the Black Summer of 2019/20. Community are invited to submit images from that time, the smoke, the fire, the fear. The artist, Bonnie Porter Greene, has taken photographs of the regrowth in her local surrounding bushland, and prints these sets of images (categorised as FEAR & HOPE) in large scale and hand colours them. The images are pasted onto boards, resembling in some way, the hoarding on building sites in cities, pasted with event posters.
Community are invited to walk up to the board and gently pick and peel away the layers of fear, revealing hope below. This project was made possible by Shoalhaven Health and Arts (SHAA) and will continue to be part of their community engagement events on the South Coast NSW throughout 2021 & 2022.
